Lacules Estate Avgoustiatis 2022 - 0,75l

Avgoustiatis is a rare red grape variety from western Greece, closely associated with the western Peloponnese and the Ionian side. In warm Mediterranean climates, it can produce wines with ripe fruit, fine spice, structure and a surprising sense of elegance.

At Lacules, we planted Avgoustiatis in 2018 on limestone soils, where the vines are dry-farmed. Four years later, in 2022, we vinified our first small barrel — still an early expression of a young vineyard, but already a clear sign of the variety’s potential in our hands.

Red fruit, cherry and subtle herbal spice. Elegant rather than powerful, aged for 18 months in used oak. Only 300 bottles produced.
